Setting up Face ID on your personal mobile device

What You Need to Know: 

To begin using Face ID, you'll need to set it up on your device. Here's how:

Set up on an iPhone:

• Navigate to your device's settings and select "Face ID & Passcode."
• Follow the on-screen instructions to set up by positioning your face within the designated frame. The device will capture various angles of your face to create a comprehensive facial map.

Set up on an Android:

• Navigate to your device settings, select “Security”, “Biometrics”, “Face Recognition”
• Follow the on-screen instructions to set up by positioning your face within the designated frame. The device will capture your various angles of your face to create a comprehensive facial map.
• After your face is registered, go to “Face Recognition” again and make sure the Face Unlock toggle is on.

Face ID for App Authentication with the AAdvantage® Cash Mobile App

Make sure that you have saved your single sign on password on your phone. Once you have done this you will be able to use Face ID to quickly access the mobile app.

• The AAdvantage® Cash Login page will display, click ‘Continue’
• A pop-up will display with “AACash” wants to Use “aa.com” to Sign In.  Select ‘Continue’
• The standard American Airlines login will appear. Tap the AA ID field.  A pop up will ask if you would like to use your AA ID.  Select continue and the Face ID will appear and log you into the mobile app
