When to Offer the Card

What You Need to Know:

You determine when the best, most appropriate time is to make the announcement (if it is not interfering with your mandatory flight attendant duties).

•    The inflight announcement needs to be read verbatim and should be kept to around one minute

•    AAdvantage® Cash announcements are not to be made during sterile flight deck or during late night/red-eye flights

•    The announcement is to be made during the period of cruising altitude and prior to the beginning of descent between 0800 and 2100

•    Make only one announcement per segment

•    On international routes, you may deliver the PA on both inbound and outbound flights if it is within the correct time frame mentioned above. 

Flight attendants should avoid offering the card if the passengers are experiencing irregular operations (flight delays, cancellations, diversions, etc.).
