When to Offer the Card

What You Need to Know:

As a flight attendant, you have some discretion to determine the most appropriate time to make the AAdvantage Cash™ announcement, as long as it does not interfere with your required duties.

Announcement Best Practices

•    The approved script must be read verbatim and should last approximately one minute

•    Announcements should be made only once per flight segment

•    Do not make announcements:

o    During sterile flight deck periods

o    On late night or red-eye flights

•    Make the announcement during the period of cruising altitude and before the start of descent between the hours of 0800 and 2100.

•    For international routes, the announcement may be made on both outbound and return flights, provided it falls within the appropriate time window noted above

Flight attendants should refrain from offering the card or making announcements if the flight is experiencing irregular operations, such as:

•    Delays

•    Cancellations

•    Diversions

•    Other events that may impact the customer experience
