What You Need to Know:


AAdvantage® Cash has made some recent enhancements to the AAdvantage® Cash portal and mobile app and how much you can do or see while you are on leave with American.  


What you can see/do now: 

•    You can review historical earnings (if you leave mid-month, you will also see your current earnings prior to your leave)

•    You can see any informational banners on the current promo and the current offer

•    You can see the roadshow schedule

•    You can review the articles in support and reach out to support

•    You can attend a roadshow or RoadshowToGo™


What you cannot see/do: 

•    You cannot participate or hand out new applications

•    You cannot qualify or requalify for AAdvantage® Cash 

•    You cannot register for a promotion

•    You cannot spin the wheel in person or at RoadshowToGo™

•    You cannot refer a friend

•    You will not be compensated for decisioned applications during your leave*

•    You will not receive marketing or transactional communications while on leave


*If you were participating in the program before going on any type of leave and wish for us to track any submitted applications to see if they are approved, please send us a note here and we’ll monitor your account for 30 days for any subsequent approvals. We will review any approvals that are decisioned during a leave to make a compensation decision.  


Returning to the program after a leave

After flight attendants return to Active status, we should see your status change on the daily file feed we receive from HR. However, it can sometimes take up to 5 business days for the file feed to reflect your return to Active status. The AAdvantage® Cash program must wait for your Active status to reflect on the file feed to grant you access to the program again; we are not able to update it separately from the file feed. 


If your Qualification expired while you were on leave, you will need to be Qualified again to participate. Otherwise, you can start participating again as soon as the portal reflects your return to Active status.
