Compensation for Approved Applications While on Leave of Absence

What You Need to Know:


If you are currently on Leave of Absence (LOA), you are not eligible to participate in the AAdvantage Cash™ program during your leave.


However, if any approved applications were submitted while you were active and qualified, we will request compensation through payroll on your behalf. In certain cases, this may require a manual payment, which we will initiate for you.


All compensation earned while you were active and qualified is always requested after we complete our auditing process at the beginning of the following month in which it was earned.


Returning from Leave

Once you return to active status, your eligibility will be updated in our daily HR file feed. This update typically occurs within 2–3 business days of your return. At that point, you’ll regain full access to the AAdvantage Cash™ portal and can resume participation in the program.
